I am two pages away from the END OF THE FIRST CHAPTER OH MY GOODNESS and I have hardly any feedback. I am tempted to start drawing large, bushy mustaches on all the characters to see if anyone will notice.
I have also noticed that what little critique I get is usually aimed at the art. Which is fine, but I would also like to know what you think of the story, the panel arrangement, the pacing, and the dialogue. What I mean is, is this story interesting? Can you look at a page without being confused as to how the action in the first panel leads up to the action at the end, or to the action on the next page? Can you follow what's going on? Is it moving too fast or too slow? Do you think the characters talk funny? I WANT TO KNOW.
It's nice to have you point out when Horus accidentally looks like a parrot or when Set's arms begin to look like hams instead of muscles, but this only helps me with drawing the characters of Hotep specifically. I need to know how I am doing at comics IN GENERAL because I plan to make more than one.

Feedback, as you commanded I have followed with interest also your previous version of the comic and I liked that very much. But this new version is far better. Are you sticking to the same storyline or did you make any changes? As far as I can see this one has a slightly slower pace but I think it is fine. I liked much that you depicted the character's reactions to Seth's return and adored the dialogues so far. I love irony. No need to say I'll keep my eyes on your updates. Hotep I am new but why not the comment. I feel that this comic is unnoticed and that makes me pretty sad. I have seen many webcomics but this one is the best. Not because of theme but also you are very good at drawing expressions. As for the theme, I feel very greatfull you made comic about egyptian gods. I am after Archaeology University and I was always fascinated about Egypt, it's mythology and history. Hotep is well done. I am not confused at all. I feel symphaty for characters and you made them pretty believable. I love the storyline, it's very interesting with a touch of humour. Everything is going rather slow than fast but I think it's good, because it's easier to follow the plot - you can always read the page carefully and then find more in it. As I did. I really like how you portrayed the gods. By the way - accuracy! It was quite pleasant to see Horus with this eye and Set with the scar. Well done. | |
